Professor Conaghan is a globally recognized authority on osteoarthritis and joins Relevium Medical’s Clinical Advisory Board to guide its knee OA program. He is Professor of Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Leeds, Director of the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre, and an Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has served as Chief Investigator on multiple pivotal osteoarthritis trials, chaired NICE’s Osteoarthritis Clinical Guidance Committee, and co-authored over 700 publications. His deep expertise in OA pathogenesis, clinical trial design, and outcome measurement brings exceptional scientific credibility to Relevium Medical’s development strategy.

When not working, he likes visiting historic homes and castles and is a mad Australian Rules Football enthusiast.
